Trying Tiered Betting Strategies in European Roulette

The game of European roulette has a ton of strategic depth in terms of the betting options that you can use because of the relationship between the bet choice and the house advantage. Because the house advantage always stays the same in this game, your volatility will always adjust itself based on which particular bet you choose. For example, a bet on red has a low volatility with a low payout when you hit. However, a straight-up bet on a single number has a high volatility with a high payout when you win.

Along these lines, you can create tiered strategies that use different types of bets to give yourself different levels of volatility and different potential payouts as you play. In the example above, the number 1 wins on both bets, but this could very easily be done with multiple numbers with something like a bet on both red and even paired with a corner bet that includes numbers that are both red and even. As you can see, there’s a ton of room to come up with your own strategies in this game with no worries about losing value relative to the best payout rate you can earn.
