Online Craps Games At Australian Online Casinos

At land casinos though players bet against the house in craps, one player rolls the two dice while others clamour for the number they want. At online casinos, craps is a much quieter game. There is a similar dice game called Sic Bo at many Australian online casinos. This originated from an Oriental gambling game and is played with three dice. Since there is not much difference in these games from different software providers, we will take you through the online craps from Microgaming and online Sic Bo from Playtech. NetEnt does not offer any of these games in its portfolio.

Microgaming online craps casino game

The online craps at Microgaming Australian casinos is called Vegas Craps and is listed under Other Table Games. When the game loads you see half of the land casino craps table on the screen. The other half is actually a mirror image so is not shown. All the bet areas are clearly marked. On the left bottom you place the bets for the total of the two dice and for any craps, which wins if the total is 2, 3 or 12. Then coming to the bottom centre there is the Pass Line and Don’t Pass, which are the most popular bets in online craps. Above that is the Field Bet, which wins if any of the numbers in the box are called. Unfortunately, both 2 and 12 pay only double in Microgaming online craps and this reduces the value of the Field Bet. On the extreme right is the area for Big 6 and Big 8. These bets win if 6, or 8 as the case may be, is rolled before 7. Right in the centre is the Come bet, which is another popular bet similar to Pass Line. Finally on the top you have the Place bets.

You select the chip size you want by clicking on it. Then you click the required bet area and the bet will be placed. A text message will be displayed showing the bet type and amount so that there is no ambiguity. After placing the bets you click Roll and the dice will roll across the table and end up displaying the outcome. Single roll bets are immediately settled. For other bets you will have to keep rolling till the bet wins or loses. Microgaming online craps offers an options button through which you can customise the sound settings and certain bet options.

Playtech online Sic Bo casino game

Sic Bo is played with three dice, so there are many more outcomes as compared to online craps. However unlike in online craps, all Sic Bo bets are decided in one roll, which makes the game much less complicated.

The Playtech Sic Bo layout can be considered as four horizontal spaces. In the top layer are the Small and Big bets, the like doubles and the like triples. The Small bet wins if the total of the numbers on the dice is between 4 and 10 and the Big bet wins if the total is between 11 and 17. The like doubles bet on a particular number wins if at least two of the dice display the number. The like triples bet on a particular number wins if at all three dice display the number. In the second horizontal space are the bets on the total of the three dice, ranging from 4 to 17. The third horizontal space has various two dice combinations with different numbers on each dice. The bottom horizontal space contains the one die combinations. For example if you bet on 3, then the bet will win if any die displays 3.

You select a chip denomination and place the desired wager by clicking the bet area in the layout. The payouts are marked on the betting area, which is a great help. You can place multiple wagers. Then you click the Roll button and the dice are rolled in the top right corner. The winning bets are paid and the layout is cleared. The operating buttons and the various available chip denominations are displayed right at the bottom. The Menu button on the bottom right side contains the Options tab through which players can customise the game play. It also has the Help tab which has the detailed rules of Playtech Sic Bo game.
